These pieces are from my series "Constructed Landscapes". Romantic landscapes form the backdrop or canvas to my work. By taking the photographic and juxtaposing it with illustrative, I create a confluence of the real and the imaginary. This juxtaposition invites the viewer to enter the work in a manner that they may not otherwise do so. Thus a notion of landscape is explored that does not rest on the familiar sublime, rather its constructed nature is revealed.
