Rochester, NY—— The Big 3-O, Rochester Contemporary (RoCo)’s  23rd Annual Art Auction is scheduled for June 22nd from 6 – 10pm, ticket prices are set at $20 for RoCo Members and $25 for the general public. Bidding will begin at the Preview Party and Reception scheduled for June 8th from 7 – 10 and is free and open to the public.

RoCo’s biggest fundraiser of the year, revenue earned from this event support the gallery’s operating budget during the rest of their exhibition season. This year’s event will feature a live and silent auction featuring over 100 local artists including: Bill Stewart,Patti Russotti, Edith Lundt Small, Edie Shedden, Kristine Bouyoucos, Robert Marx, Richard Harvey, Belinda Bryce, Nancy Jurs, and William Edwards.

This year’s auction also features a print and poster designed by Featured Artist, JULIAN MONTAGUE of Buffalo, NY. The print will be auction off during the live auction event on June 22nd.

Montague participated in 2006’s Duo Show Series at the gallery and is currently represented at the Black and White Gallery with locations in Williamsburg and Chelsea, NY. His current project The Stray Shopping Cart Series was recently made into a book: The Stray Shopping Carts of Eastern North America: A Guide to Field Identification, which won the Bookseller/Diagram Oddest Title of the Year Prize which got him air time on the BBC World Service.

The Big 3-O will be on display from June 8th – June 22nd. Special gallery hours will be June 9-10, and 14-16 from 6-10pm, 20-21 from 1-5pm.
