Rochester, NY Women and Forbidden Fruit by Jolene Beckman opens for display in the Sibley Center Window Friday, May 2nd.

These new works by Beckman are layered with symbolism and visual stimulation.  Women from literature and mythology take the stage in Beckman’s collages as she explores women’s issues.  The composition contains the elegance needed to be visually compelling.  To Beckman the reinvented story conveyed through the ribbons, lace, expression and color offers the women redemption and elevation as symbols of strength and inspiration.

Women and Forbidden Fruit will be on display until June 3rd, 2007.  The Sibley Window is open to public view at all hours.
