Current Calls for Work

Rochester Contemporary Art Center will be accepting general submissions for the 2013 season and beyond beginning December 1, 2011.
POSTMARK DEADLINE: January 1, 2012

Special Topics of Interest:

Land use and environmental issues. We are interested in projects that document, address or explore any issues facing the future of the environment and natural resources. This includes the ways in which communities, individuals and groups are coping with or responding to these issues/topics.

Public Space Today. What defines "public space" in our contemporary culture? Where is it? Who defines, creates, controls public space? How do artists and artworks contribute a dialoge surrounding these questions? We are interested in any and all creative projects related to this complex and sometimes contentious topic.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the large number of submissions received, materials will not be returned unless specific instructions are provided. We prefer to keep all submissions on file for future reference and consideration. If you would like to have your materials returned, please contact us. Please mail cd/dvd submission packages that we can keep on file for future reference.
