6×6 Art-Making February

February 6, 6-9pm

Come to RoCo on First Friday, February 6 for a 6x6 art-making session with William J. Ferguson II and Janet Finch-Levy.

Intuitive micro-sculpture session: work small, think deep, shape “beings" with William J. Ferguson II
Explore your inner landscape and translate it into form. In this mixed-level, hands-on workshop, participants will conceive, construct, and shape copper wire into “beings”—forms open to interpretation—within a 6” x 6” work, using this structure as a starting point for creative expression and personal design. Guided by William J. Ferguson II and rooted in techniques he has developed since 1997, this rapid-making experience invites you to trust your instincts, work intuitively, and leave with both a finished 6” x 6” work and a deeper understanding of your inherent creativity.

Fabric Fanatic art-making with Janet Finch-Levy
Fancy yourself a fabric fanatic? Love the colors, texture and patterns that abound? Join Janet Finch-Levy to work with fabric, trims, ribbon and lace to create a unique piece of art for 6x6 ‘26! Try your hand at an abstract collage or bring a photo to inspire your work. An assortment of fabric scraps and trims plus assorted collage materials will be available including markers to add details. This will primarily be a glueing project but needles and thread will be available for creatives who may wish to use sewing in their work.

Each artist will lead two sessions, which will begin at 6:00pm and 7:30pm. Admission is $2 / free for RoCo Members and light snacks will be available. Don't miss this fun event to make and enter your 6x6 artwork!
