Calling all artists! Show your latest artwork in RoCo’s 35th Annual Members Exhibition. All entries will be exhibited and be eligible for numerous awards. All artistic media are welcome with maximum dimensions of 2D: 32” x 32” and 3D: 24" x 24" x 24". Artwork must be delivered ready to hang, framed, and wired.

The Days the Artists Spoke is a series of short, back-to-back artist talks and a great opportunity to learn more about the participating artists. Don’t miss this eclectic celebration of the visual arts in Rochester and the surrounding region.

Annual Members Exhibition Awards

All entries are eligible for the following awards and the winners will be announced on opening night.

Members Choice Award: TBA
What’s your favorite? The Members Choice Award is an interactive award selected by RoCo members. Green stickers are given at the Admissions Desk, one sticker = one vote. The stickers will accumulate for the duration of the exhibition and the winner will be announced on the last day of the Members Exhibition. Cash prize and bragging rights!

Richmond Futch Award for Art & Justice:
Honoring Richmond Futch’s creative spirit and commitment to community, this award supports two artists who work at the intersection of art and social justice. Selected by Shawn Futch, RoCo Director Bleu Cease, and members of the 9th Floor Artists Collective, where Futch was a member. $200 each

Working with Wax Award:
Sponsored and selected by Rochester/FLX Working with Wax Group. $200

Bill Havens Award:
Annually awarded to one participating artist. Chosen and given by Anne Havens in memory of her son Bill. $200

Arena Art Group Awards:
Annual awards given by the Arena Art Group, whose purpose is to promote interest in exploratory art forms. The winners will be selected by members of the Steering Committee. $200

City Blue Award:
In recognition of art that celebrates Rochesters urban landscape. Selected by Mark Cleary and City Blue staff. $200

Edge Award:
Art as inquiry. This award is presented to an artist whose work seems to be stretching boundaries, standing at the edge of what they know, peering into unforeseen territory. Selected and supported by Colleen Buzzard. $200

Genesee Land Trust Award:
Awarded by Genesee Land Trust to celebrate the inspiration of nature. Selected by Connie Ehindero & Elliotte Bowerman. $200

George Eastman Museum Award:
Selected by GEM curators. $200

Image City Photography Gallery Lens of Vision Award:
This award celebrates clarity, creativity and a unique perspective. Selected by partners from the Image City Photography Gallery. $200

ImageOut Award:
Awarded by ImageOut to celebrate an exceptional LGBTQIA+ artist. Selected by ImageOut Board and Staff. $200

Landmark Society of WNY Award:
Awarded by The Landmark Society in recognition of a visual artist who celebrates our history, architecture, and built environment. Selected by LSWNY leadership. $200

Lumiere Award:
Selected by Lumiere staff. $200

Puerto Rican Festival Award:
Awarded by the Puerto Rican Festival in recognition of inspirational visual art. Selected by the President of the Festival. $200

Record Archive Award:
This annual award is intended to support the pursuit of painting in the Rochester region. Selected and given by Richard Storms, owner of Record Archive. $100 Gift Certificate.

Susan B Anthony Award:
Given to an artist whose work challenges reflection on Susan B. Anthony’s ideals of liberty, justice, equality, and humanity. Given by the National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House. $200

Visual Studies Workshop Award:
Selected by VSW staff. $200

Wall\Therapy Award:
Selected by Ian Wilson and Erich Lehman. $200

Wow Award:
Annual award given to an artwork that simply makes one say “Wow!” Selected by Bleu Cease, Executive Director of RoCo. $100 and a Household membership to RoCo
