Host a 6x6 Art-Making Party

Art-making parties are a fun, creative way to bring people together while supporting 6x6. Parties can look like a few friends around a table, a creative break with coworkers or students, or a planned and promoted public event. If you’re interested in hosting a public art-making party, let us know! RoCo can help promote your event and provide pre-cut 6x6 boards, entry forms, and helpful guidelines and information. Additionally, we host 6x6 art-making parties at RoCo on First Fridays in January, February, and March. Stop-by to see how we do it and to learn more.

6x6 Make Art Day: March 6

The First Friday of March is 6x6 Make Art Day, a day when many art-making parties take place and are promoted together. The city of Rochester even proclaimed that the First Friday of March is officially Make Art Day in Rochester ; ) While parties can happen at any time that works best for you, hosting on March 6 allows your event to be part of a larger, shared celebration.

6x6x2026 & the Flower City Logo

For 6x6x2026, RoCo is excited to partner with the City of Rochester to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Flower City logo. Artists are invited to optionally incorporate the Flower City logo into their 6x6 artworks. Logo-inspired pieces will be installed together as a special section of the exhibition, celebrating a symbol that Rochesterians know and love. Participation in the theme is optional—artists are welcome to submit work in any style or subject.
