March 6, 6pm
Join us on First Friday, March 6 at RoCo or one of five other locations, where participants will work with a teaching artist to create on the logo-marked squares that unite into a single, collaborative artwork.
City Mark made with your 6x6
Flower City Fragments is part of a larger partnership between the City of Rochester and RoCo. RoCo invites anyone in the community to enter 6x6 artworks that feature the City of Rochester’s logo. All Flower City artworks, including the Flower City Fragments collaborative artwork, will be installed on one wall as part of a community-wide celebration of this unique graphic. This is an optional theme for participation in 6x6, The International Small Art Phenomenon. As always, ALL 6x6 artworks will be accepted and displayed. For this project, 36 individual 6×6 artworks are created, each printed with a small portion of the Rochester City Mark. Participants are invited to make original artwork on their square while keeping the printed line visible. When all 36 pieces are installed together in a 6 × 6 grid, they connect to form a single, unified image of the iconic City Mark built from art from fellow creative Rochestarians.
