UPDATE (6/8/08): Over 1000 people attended the 6x6x2008 events on June 6th and 7th and nearly 600 works of art were purchased on June 7th. The remaining artworks will be available for purchase until July 6th. Installation of 6x6x2008 Video EXTRA PREVIEW AND REGISTRATION HOURS: Saturday, June 7 1-6pm UPDATE (5/29/08): Original goal of 2,008 artworks reached and surpassed. 6/6/2008 Preview 6-10pm (no purchasing) during East End Fest [Special Parking Instructions and Coupons] 6/7/2008 Reception and Sale 6-10pm, purchasing begins at 7:30pm with a raffle for buyer positions 1-20. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Register...for a buyer number (Friday 6/6 or Saturday 6/7) 2. Decide...to pick-up your art on 7/5 or 7/6 or have it mailed 3. Look...at more than 3,200 original artworks 4. Write...down the numbers of the artworks you like 5. Purchase...red stickers ($20 per sticker) 6. Enter...the raffle for buyer positions 1-20 7. Wait...till 7:30pm 8. Listen...for your name for buyer positions 1-20 -or- 8. Listen...for “3...2...1...GO!” 9. Remove...the white numbered tag from your chosen artwork 10. Replace...the white numbered tag with your red sticker (SOLD!) 11. Exchange...the white tag for receipt with artist’s name 12. Repeat...9. - 11. 13. 		6x6x2008 is an exhibition of two thousand and eight original works of art, made and donated by celebrities, international and local artists, designers, college students, youths, and you. Each artwork will be 6x6 inches square and signed only on the back, to be exhibited anonymously. All artworks will be available for sale to the public for $20 each, to benefit Rochester Contemporary Art Center. Artists’ names will be revealed to the buyer upon purchase and all artworks will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition. Don’t miss this chance to show your artwork in great company and support Rochester’s downtown contemporary art venue. All submissions are due by May 23 at 5pm and should be delivered or mailed directly to Rochester Contemporary Art Center.
